Penang Iyengar Yoga Festival

In April 2017, I was honoured to help organise the first Iyengar Yoga Festival in Penang. This is an event conducted all over the world and usually hosted in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur. However, with the growing interest in Iyengar Yoga in Penang, it was high time to bring it to 'The Pearl of the Orient'.

It was a resounding success. We were privileged to be taught over three days by the world's foremost Iyengar Yoga instructors, including the head Guruji from India.

​

Over the course of the weekend we logged up to 20,000 participants, some of which flew in from Japan, the United States and Europe.
